Exploring Shapes
In class 2K we have been exploring shapes. We have named some different 2D shapes and then looked for them on 3D shapes. We then described the properties of some common 3D shapes.
Here are some of our descriptions:
It’s hasn’t got any corners or straight lines.
My shape is a sphere.
It’s got 6 edges, 4 corners and a triangle base.
My shape is a triangular based pyramid.
It’s got 2 round faces and 1 curved edge.
My shape is a cylinder.
It has eight corners, 2 square faces, 4 rectangle faces and 12 edges.
My shape is a cuboid
It’s got a pointy top and one circle face. It is curved and has one round edge.
My shape is a cone.
