Egyptian Art
We had a great time making some Egyptian sunset pictures and headdresses this week. The children designed their own Egyptian headdress and then added textures and patterns to their headdresses. The colours used were believed to represent love, evil, life, sun and growth.
The children also made some Egyptian sunset pictures. We started by planning the colours to use for their sunset and studying sunset pictures and the Egyptian skyline. After planning the colours they were going to use in their individual designs, the children blended water colours together to make the background. They then cut shapes out of black sugar paper to make the foreground. The final pieces are up on display around our classroom
