G'day from Class 6M
This term our topic is ‘Life away from Britain’ and we will be exploring Australia!
For our sparkling start, we had an Australia day were we had a deadly 60 session learning about Australia’s deadly animals; map reading and we became researchers.
In literacy, we have been exploring and writing dreamtime stories.
In Geography, we are exploring the physical and human features of Australia. In history, we are looking at how aboriginal settlements have developed over time and studying life in Australia before it was colonised and building a profile of the Aboriginal people, their culture, ways of life and survival.
In art, we are exploring the stories and artwork of the Aboriginal people. We will use techniques to recreate and copy patterns, sequences and animals in our own art.
