Cross Country at Weelsby Woods
On Wednesday 28th March 40 children (10 from each year group) walked to Weelsby Woods to demonstrate their determination and long distance running ability. Everyone was proud of themselves for what they achieved. We were proud too, an excellent effort from everyone!
Year 3 children ran 800m with Emily D coming in third place and Cameron came 12th. Year 5 children ran 1500m . Emily S came 15th and Boe came 17th. Year 6 had the furthest to run – 2000m. They worked hard to get to the end. Libby came in 8th place with Mia-Vye coming 16th. In the boys’ race Will came 22nd and James came in 26th place. Year 4 children ran 1000m around the woods. Mitchell came 7th, Rothko came 15th, George came 25th with Luca coming in 26th place. Overall the Y4 boys’ team came third in the competition. There were over 100 children in each race so our children did exceptionally well. Well done to everyone who took part. Keep running!
