Hindu Gods and Goddesses

Throughout the Autumn term in 5M, we have been learning about Hindu Gods and Goddesses. We have been exploring the stories of Rama and Sita, as well as the Trimurti Gods: Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu. During our RE lessons, we have been thinking about each God’s characteristics and qualities to understand why Hindu’s choose certain Gods to worship and pray to. We have created a family tree in our RE books to understand that each God or Goddess represents a particular feature or quality of the Hindu Supreme God: Brahman. Finally, we have been discussing the similarities and differences between Hinduism and other religions such as Islam, Judaism and Christianity.
