Our topic surrounding the formal elements of Art came to a close with our final lesson on recreating the planets using chalk pastels. The children used what they had learnt about tone and shade to create a 3D rubbing of one of the planets. They did a fantastic job and were so creative...if not a little bit messy at the end!!
