Features of instructions

This term 2H have been focusing on instructions. Before planning our own writing of instructions, we explored how we know if a piece of text is a set of instructions or not. The children worked in pairs and both used what they knew to decipher this. Later in the week the children were then given a set of instructions and asked to use what they had been learning to find and label its key features. This was going to help them for when they came to write their own instructions.
