Science

In Science we are exploring mixtures and reactions.  This week our lesson was called ‘The Big Stink!’  We looked at how the River Thames used to be full of sewage during the Victorian times, before being asked about how we could clean sewage!

Luckily, our sewage had been created from natural things in the school environment although it was still pretty disgusting.  We had to work in groups to use chosen pieces of equipment to clean the water the best we could.  After lots of sieving and filtering the water was looking better but there was no way anyone was going to have a drink.
