Safeguarding

Lisle Marsden C of E Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We work hard to ensure that children and families are supported through effective and consistent safeguarding procedures. Safeguarding is everybody's responsibility and we continue to work together to protect children's wellbeing and keep them safe from harm.

What to do if you have a concern about a child or young person

If you are worried about a child in our school, please contact the DSL (designated safeguarding lead) or a member of the safeguarding team on 01472 311040. Your concerns will be dealt with sensitively and discretely.

Our first priority is of course your child's welfare and the academy is required to take any reasonable action to ensure the safety of its pupils. However, there may be occasions when we have reason to be concerned that a child may be subject to ill-treatment, neglect or other forms of abuse. We will ensure that we follow local authority guidance in sharing information and making referrals dependant on the best course of action for the child and family.

You can also contact the local authority or police on the numbers provided below -

MASH (Multi-Agency Support Hub) on 01472 326292 option 2

Police Telephone: 101 (non-emergency telephone number) 999 for emergencies
