Every year we award two special trophies to nominated pupils who staff believe have exhibited particular qualities in the spirit of each award.

The Shawn Wright Foundation Award, in memory of a Lisle Marsden parent, is awarded for sporting excellence, attitude and good sportsmanship as well as commitment to the academy's sports development programme.

The Cockburn Cup, in memory of Rae Cockburn, a highly respected and long serving member of staff, is awarded to pupils who demonstrate resilience and high levels of endeavour, overcoming challenges or barriers at school.

Both awards carry a special bursary, provided by the families of Mr Wright and Mr Cockburn, with pupils receiving £20 as well as the trophy to proudly display and retain for a year.

Freyja received the Shawn Wright Foundation Award.

Bobby received the Cockburn Cup.
