At Lisle Marsden Church of England Primary Academy, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the greatest possible success in learning. We do this within the context of Christian belief and practice, by taking account of pupils’ varied life experiences and needs. Our SEND and pastoral team work closely with pupils, parents, teachers, senior leaders and external agencies to ensure we provide the best provision for any pupil experiencing difficulties with learning, well-being or physical issues. This begins with -

REVIEW: Following this, we review the impact

SEND LOCAL OFFER

From 1 September 2014 the Children and Families Act requires all local authorities to publish and maintain a ‘local offer’. A local offer is a wide range of information about all the support and facilities which families can expect to find in their area for children and young people who have special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities.

FAMILY HUBS

Family Hubs bring together services to offer help and support to children and young people aged 0 to 19 and their families. You and your child can use a local hub for support with:

• Support for families to work through issues that may arise during a child or young person’s life. This may be offered     by professionals, e.g. advisors, health visitors, school nurses and other family support services.

• Early education

• Activity sessions

• Health services for children and soon to be parents

• Childcare and funding information

• Training and employment

• Support with childcare for children who have additional needs
