Overview
At Lisle Marsden, our curriculum offers children the opportunity to learn how to become a well-rounded individual and develop essential qualities for all aspects of life. This is reflected in our personal development curriculum which is underpinned by these four aspects of our vision statement:
Educating for wisdom, knowledge and skills: enabling discipline, confidence and delight in seeking wisdom and knowledge, and developing talents in all areas of life.
Educating for hope and aspiration: enabling healing, repair and renewal, coping wisely when things go wrong, opening horizons and guiding people into ways of fulfilling them.
Educating for community and living well together: a core focus on relationships, participation in communities and the qualities of character that enable people to flourish together.
Educating for dignity and respect: the basic principle of respect for the value and preciousness of each person, treating each person as a unique individual of inherent worth.
Children receive the tools they need to allow them to make decisions, grow personally and develop a sense of self through these key areas:
Cultural Awareness including spiritual, moral, social and cultural awareness and development through awe and wonder moments across our extensive curriculum.
British Values including democracy, tolerance, liberty, rule of law and respect.
Healthy Lifestyle including our PSHE curriculum, Relationships and Sex Education, mental and physical well being, online safety, safeguarding and wider aspects of staying safe.
